Faks About Life

My page started up after being approached to write food review articles for magazines. I then started to write fashion articles, which led my family to encourage me to start up my own page. People would always ask about places I’d eaten at, send me messages asking for suggestions, ask me what I was wearing or just for fashion advice.

Prior to going public, I attended fashion events in London and charity events in aid of causes I believed in. As a Muslim, we are always taught to be charitable and I genuinely believe this keeps you humble and grounded too. I like to do charitable deeds in a way where it is not seen to be showing off. Instead, I do it to encourage others to do the same and raise awareness where required.

In the process of my page I had just dealt with the closure of my marriage and discovering my old self again. I started to share snippets of my experience with domestic abuse and I then found myself supporting other women in similar situations. I raised awareness of such issues by attending empowerment events and also being interviewed on both radio and in magazine articles.

Farah Ferrero

I'm forever on the go, with my hand in many different pots. Sometimes I get asked if I ever stop, and only very recently have I begun to make more time for my hobbies and other passions, such as blogging, vlogging and helping to promote other businesses or organisations.

I have always felt the willingness to serve and help others. It had always been a dream of mine to travel to under-privileged areas and hand-deliver aid to refugees. That way, I would then know that my daily efforts had benefitted those less fortunate.

As soon as I got the opportunity, and began doing things selflessly and for others, I knew that Allah had opened some amazing doors for me. Meeting those who have truly struggled in their life, fought for their survival, and children who had suffered severe trauma, or physical injuries as a result of warfare, led me to realise how lucky we are to have so many luxuries, so much safety and freedom.

We take so much for granted. I believe that I have a duty to tell the world their story, as not everyone is as lucky to go and see the situation first-hand. I urge each and every person, who has the means and opportunity, to help anyone less fortunate or vulnerable.

Show them even a glimmer of hope, as it grows you as a person, and your soul, like nothing else on this earth. Be it by donating, helping provide necessities, or just to show that you care, do whatever you can with the best of intentions, and you will surely be rewarded.

Fizzah

HR Manager by day, food blogger by night. I started blogging about 3 years ago as a hobby. I absolutely love writing and it was such a great way for me to release my creativity through words. Aside from that, giving back to the less fortunate people of this world is a very important part of my life.

As a British Pakistani, I feel a sense of responsibility to all less fortunate Muslims, but especially the people of Pakistan. Education is extremely important in those parts fo the world and my aim is to always use my social platform, however small to better the future of the world in any way possible.

Flowers And Figs

Flowers and Figs Co is a small Instagram business established in 2019, run part time at home by a husband and wife team. It is built upon our passion for floral decor and mini-figurines.

We make a range of bespoke handmade floral decor items, personalised for any occasion, ranging from flower frames, selfie frames, ring plates, guestbooks and wedding signage, to name a few.

We have been blessed to be able to run a halal business, therefore being involved in charity projects, by donating some of our items, is a means for us to seek reward, barakah in our wealth and business, as well as to benefit the needy through charity.

Foreign Circles

The initial idea behind Foreign Circles was to provide brothers with the only jewellery that is Islamically permissible for them to wear. In fact, it is actually a sunnah of the Prophet, peace be upon him, as he himself used to wear a silver ring.

However, after attending several Islamic events, we realised there was a large demand from the sisters, so we decided to branch out and include ladies rings too. We aim to provide high street quality rings at affordable prices.

We have teamed up with Salam Charity to help to contribute to their good causes, insha'Allah, and be a means of both help and barakah for all parties involved.
